- How do I share a calendar with my family on iPhone?
- Open the Calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, tap the circled 'i' next to an iCloud calendar, then tap Add Person and enter each family member. After they accept you can turn 'Allow Editing' on or off per person. Only iCloud calendars can be shared this way.
- How do I share an Apple Calendar from a Mac?
- In the Calendar app sidebar, hover a calendar under iCloud and click the share icon, add each person's Apple ID, then choose View Only or View & Edit for each of them. Family Sharing also creates an automatic shared 'Family' calendar for everyone in the group.
- How do I share a Google Calendar with family?
- At calendar.google.com, hover the calendar in the left sidebar, click the three dots, choose 'Settings and sharing', then 'Add people and groups'. Give co-parents 'Make changes to events' and kids 'See all event details'. Each person accepts by email.
- Can I share a calendar between iPhone and Android?
- Yes, but use Google Calendar as the shared one. iCloud sharing doesn't reach Android beyond a read-only public link, while a Google calendar works properly in the iPhone Calendar app once you add the Google account under Settings → Calendar → Accounts.
- Should I share my personal calendar or make a new one?
- Make a new one called Family and share only that. Sharing a personal calendar exposes every appointment on it, and there's no way to hide individual events from people you've shared with.
- What permission level should kids get?
- View access is usually enough, and knowing what's coming reduces last-minute resistance. Teens who add their own commitments do better with edit access on the shared calendar.

- How do I stop sharing a calendar?
- On Google, remove the person under 'Share with specific people'. On iPhone or Mac, open the calendar's share settings and remove them from the list. Both take effect immediately.
